Daily Postcard: Buck With Thick Antlers In Quemazon

Daily Postcard: A buck with thick antlers is spotted Friday in Quemazon. Antlers are extensions of the animal’s skull. They are true bone and a single structure generally found only on males, with the exception of the caribou. Antlers are shed and regrown each year and function primarily as objects to attract female deer and as weapons in fights between males for control of harems. Source: wikipedia.com.
