PEPTO News:
Getting hit by a car is the third leading cause of death for kids 5 to 9 years old, and kids up to age 15 make up a disproportionate number of pedestrian casualties worldwide, according to a 2011 article in Psychological Science’s online magazine.
The Pinon Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PEPTO) requests community assistance. Let’s protect our Panthers as they walk to and from school by volunteering to be a crossing guard.
Volunteer 20-25 minutes, once a week, and help our students. Spots are available before and after school at both the Rover Boulevard and Sherwood Drive intersections along Grand Canyon. Morning shifts are 7:55–8:15 and afternoon shifts are 3:20–3:45, except for Wednesday afternoons, which are 12:00–12:25.

Plus – every crossing guard is entered into a monthly drawing for a $25 Amazon gift card.
