Creative District Plan Adoption is Under Discussion

Executive Director Kevin Holsapple of the Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation and the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce, Kelly Stewart of the County’s Economic Development Department and County Senior Planner Martha Perkins presented information about the  Los Alamos Creative District, which was designated in the downtown area in 2009. The designation brings Los Alamos into a statewide network of six cultural districts organized through the New Mexico Arts and Cultural District Program. The goal of the program is to assist the community to turn its vision into commerce, tourism, artistic growth and civic pride … to promote place-based community economic development rooted in the community’s dynamic arts and cultural environment.
