Craig Martin, center, and his band, The Craig Martin Experience performed to a sold-out crowd Saturday night at the Blue Window Bistro. Together since 2012, the band features a three-horn front line backed by a solid rhythm section. Martin plays tenor sax and is joined by alto sax player Quinn Marksteiner and trumpeter Carl Hagelberg, Mike Rogers on guitar, Aaron Anderson on keyboards, John Frary plays drums and Rob Heineman is the group’s bass player. The highly popular local band performed a set of hard bop and fusion tunes Saturday night from jazz’s most popular years in the 1960s and tunes by Dizzy Gillespie, Bobby Timmons, Kenny Durham, Horace Silver, Chick Corea, and others.
