COUNTY News:

Water crews with the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities have repaired the water line break on San Ildefonso Road in the North Mesa neighborhood. (This road was incorrectly identified as Camino Uva in a previous press release.)

Water pressure should be fully restored by 4 p.m. today to all customers in the area.

Department officials advise customers that water may appear murky due to entrained air bubbles and small amounts of sediment or rust that may have stirred up from the bottom of the water main.

While aesthetically unpleasant, it does not pose a health risk. Flushing home plumbing lines using cold water taps should clear up the water.
