Los Alamos County Community Services Department and the Los Alamos Arts Council are partnering together to bring an event like no other – the Halloweekend Pumpkin Glow and Show, 4-9 p.m., Oct. 29 at Overlook Park in White Rock.
Parking is limited within Overlook Park and attendees are highly encouraged to either walk to Overlook Park or ride the Atomic City Transit Bus from the White Rock Visitor Center or from Sullivan Field in Los Alamos. ACT Assist also will be available for the event, for those who are not able to utilize the regular bus service.
Attendees also have the option to purchase Premium Parking passes for $10 here, in person at the Aquatic Center, or at the entrance with a staff member. One pass per vehicle. There is a limit of 200 premium parking passes. If parking passes are purchased online, purchasers must pick up the physical pass at the Los Alamos County Aquatic Center front desk before noon Friday, Oct. 28.
Handicap parking also is available, limited to 52, and is free to those who can provide a handicap placard at the entrance to the park.
This FREE event begins at 4 p.m. with music, various vendors, games, food and more. Starting at 6 p.m., walk through the creepy and creative display glowing in the night, and at 8:30 p.m. enjoy the fireworks extravaganza provided by the Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos.
