County Launches New Online Directory To Highlight Local Businesses, Organizations, And Community Events

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County has launched a new online directory designed to showcase local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community events, making it easier for residents and visitors to discover the unique things our community has to offer.

The new directory allows businesses, organizations, and event organizers to submit their own listings directly through the County website and make updates as needed. Listings include descriptions of the business or nonprofit, contact information, photos, and relevant details to help people connect with local services, programs, and events happening throughout Los Alamos County.

“This new directory is a simple and effective way to highlight the wide range of businesses, organizations, and activities that make Los Alamos County special,” Elias Isaacson, Community Development Director said. “By making it easy to submit and update information, we’re creating a centralized resource that benefits both local businesses and the broader community.”

In addition to business and organization listings, the directory features an improved events page allowing community members an easier way to promote events happening in the County. The goal is to improve visibility, encourage community participation, and support local economic and cultural activity.

Submissions are now open and available to the public. Participation is free, and entries will be reviewed to ensure accuracy and relevance before being published.

To help launch the new platform, the County will be hosting a Directory Information Session from 5:30-7 p.m., Feb. 4 in Room 110 of the Los Alamos County Municipal Building to explain the program and offer people assistance to create an account on the program. In addition, they will also be offering a virtual-only Directory Information Session on Feb. 18

To submit a business, organization, or event, visit the Los Alamos County website at www.losalamosnm.us/directory.
