County Council Tentatively Approves CDD Budget

Los Alamos County Council tentatively approved 7-0 the proposed FY-2022 $11,199,815 budget for the Community Development Department (CDD) during its Monday night budget hearing. Additionally, the council tentatively approved several budget add-on options, which include $25,000 for advertising and associated costs, $50,000 for a study on short-term rentals and $50,000 for the stand-alone restrooms and food truck pads at the White Rock Visitor Center. One budget add-on item, $131,387 for a tourism manager was placed in the ‘parking lot’ to be discussed at a future hearing.
