COUNTY News:
The Pavement Preservation Project at the Los Alamos County Airport has been suspended due to weather and the airport has reopened.
The plan is for the contractor to re-mobilize July 25 to complete the job. This will be re-assessed July 18 to confirm conditions are suitable.
The work will require closure of the airport for several days during the week of July 25.
Be aware that all runways and taxiways have temporary and non-standard markings.
The contractor was able to prepare the runway for crack sealing, but the recent rains left the runway too wet to proceed with the sealing. Temporary markings have been installed to reopen the airport. All areas of the airport are open and available for use during this pause in work.
Updated information will be announced as it becomes available.
