A crowd Wednesday afternoon at the Betty Ehart Senior Center waits to hear County Council Chair David Izraelevitz deliver the annual State of the County Address. Besides listing a number of highlights, Izraelevitz touched on some major issues the County faced in 2017 including increased activity in the code enforcement program, modifying the permitting process, a larger presence of bears in town and of course, the lab contract. Izraelevitz noted that everything in town depends on the laboratory and the County is keeping a close eye on the process that will award a new contract to operate the laboratory.
