Los Alamos County Council voted 6-0 to approve a 2 percent increase to the salary of County Administrator Harry Burgess, County Attorney Rebecca Ehler and Department of Public Utilities Manager John Arrowsmith. Council Vice Chair Izraelevitz was absent. Council Chair Geoff Rodgers explained that the 2 percent raise is a result of the budget environment and not a reflection of how the Council feels about the three officials. Photo by Carol A.
