The community is invited to join Ranger Anthony Magdalena for a demonstration of traditional Pueblo Gardening at Coronado Historic Site.
Each month Ranger Anthony focuses on a different aspect of garden care and maintenance. This month he’ll talk about planning next year’s garden and how to gather and store seeds. Weather and garden growth are unpredictable, so check Facebook or Instagram for updates.
This program is included with admission of $7 for adults and free to children 16 years and younger, NM residents 60 years and older with ID, people with Native/Tribal affiliations, disabled veterans, and foster families.
10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Coronado Historic Site and Kuaua Pueblo located just minutes north of Albuquerque (off I-25, Exit 242) in Bernalillo at 485 Kuaua Road.
This program teaches participants traditional gardening techniques used by the Pueblo people, connecting modern gardening to the history of the land.
