NMDCA News:
Jemez Historic Site welcomes the community to join in a conversation, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, about Indigenous-led land management collaborations with Ranger Casey and presenter Miguel Santistevan.
Ranger Casey and guest presenter Santistevan will discuss Indigenous and generational cultural-based land management. Santistevan is involved in a variety of activities related to the conservation of traditional agriculture and the relationship to land, water, and culture.
These collaborations and efforts are opportunities to build these relationships that can help address climate crises, and social and environmental injustices across New Mexico.
This presentation offers an opportunity to learn more about the Jemez Mountain region and how Indigenous-led land management can support collaborative practices to care for the landscape.
The program is included with admission of $7 for adults and free to children 16 years and younger, people with Native/Tribal affiliations, New Mexico disabled veterans, New Mexico foster families, and FCJHS and MNMF members.
