SANTA FE — Alexis Martinez Johnson, environmental engineer, wife, mother, and Republican nominee for New Mexico’s 3rd Congressional District announced Thursday Maggie’s List’s endorsement of her campaign.

Maggie’s List is a Federal Political Action Committee created to raise awareness and funds to increase the number of conservative women elected to federal public office, with an emphasis on fiscal conservatism, personal responsibility, and a strong national security agenda.

“I’m honored to be endorsed by Maggie’s List,” Martinez Johnson said. “As a mother of four, I understand the need for fiscal responsibility in Congress. Washington’s out-of-control spending has led to rampant inflation, record high gas prices, and Americans struggling to make ends meet. I’m glad Maggie’s List is partnering with our campaign to bring common sense back to Congress.”

“Alexis Martinez Johnson is a stalwart conservative, and I’m proud to announce Maggie’s List’s endorsement of her candidacy for New Mexico’s 3rd District,” National Spokeswoman for Maggie’s List, Tina Ramirez, said. “As a Hispanic mother, she understands that Washington’s out-of-control spending has led to skyrocketing inflation that hurts our families. In Congress, Alexis will bring common sense spending back to Congress and stop the Democrat’s radical agenda.”

Martinez Johnson is a life-long New Mexican, environmental engineer, volleyball coach, and mother of four. She has worked in various energy sectors across the country and is the Republican Nominee in New Mexico’s 3rd District, a competitive, toss-up seat targeted by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC).

Republican Martinez Johnson is running against Democratic incumbent Teresa Leger Fernandez.
