Non-County Projects of Significance:

Smith’s Marketplace: Contractor Utility Work on Trinity between Knecht and DP Rd:
The south eastbound lane on Trinity Drive is closed between Knecht and DP Road. Expect congestion and plan for delays, especially during the evening commute. Alternate routes are recommended. This work will continue through November.
 
Smith’s Marketplace: Truck Traffic on NM502 and Trinity Drive Near MariMac
Construction continues through May 2014 at the Marketplace work site south of MariMac Plaza, which means motorists using Main Hill Road (N.M. 502) and Trinity Drive near the Marketplace work site can expect to continue to see significant truck traffic. Expect delays and allow extra time if using this route, or seek alternate routes.

Eastern Area 2 Concrete, Paving & Utility Project – Phase 2:
Canyon Road is paved, collar adjustments are continuing this week.
 
15th Street: Due to problems resulting from the recent rain, work on 15th Street primarily consisting of dewatering and sweeping activities. The road closure between Myrtle and Oakwood north will remain in place until dewatering and cleanup efforts have been completed. Access at Oakwood South and Sage Loop will be maintained, whereas Sage South will remain closed at 15th Street. Roadbed preparation and concrete work will resume; the travelling public is to expect heavy truck traffic and congestion with lane closures and flagging operations. We encourage that travelers seek alternate routes and to give themselves additional time to get to their destination.
 
Starting Monday, Sept. 16, RMCI will be closing the 15th Street driveway access to business parking areas in order to place valley gutters and drive pads at this intersection.
 
This closure will last for 15 days to allow time to place forms, concrete, and cure time for the fresh concrete. During the closure, the contractor will be placing blue “business access” signs to provide motorists direction to the alternate driveway.
 
North Sage at 15th Street remains closed through next week to allow fresh concrete to cure. Please use alternate routes.
 
North Oakwood Loop at 15th remains closed through next week to allow fresh concrete to cure. Please use alternate routes.
 
South Sage at 15th and south Oakwood Loop at 15th will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
 
Western Area Phase 1:
44th Street north of Trinity remains closed to through traffic. Work includes setting forms for curb and gutter, drive pads and sidewalk (path leading to Western Area Park.)
 
Access to residences as well as services such as mail delivery, emergency services, and trash and recycling collection will be maintained. Residents are asked to maximize use of off-street parking. Any necessary on-street parking should be away from the active work zones. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with possible weekend work if necessary.
 
Concrete Work on White Rock Streets:
Continuation of manhole and valve collars adjustments in the roadway of the recently repaved streets will continue on September 23.
 
Cañada del Buey Multi-Use Trail Improvements:
The contractor has completed paving; expect continued minor work throughout the project area.
 
Canyon Glen Bridge Safety Attenuators:
Work continues in the vicinity of the recently installed attenuators. Vehicular traffic is not impacted; however, pedestrians are asked to use the provided pedestrian pathway until the new sidewalk is opened.

Gas Line Work Near Fire Station #6 on East Road:
On East Rd in the vicinity of 457 East Rd (Fire Station #6) DPU Contractor continues work behind shoulder traffic control and concrete barriers on both sides of the road. Directional boring across East Rd for two gas lines will upgrade and improve safety of the East Park Gas Regulator Station.
