COUNTY News:
Los Alamos County road construction update for the week of July 20.

Note: the below information is based on a schedule provided by the contractors and may change due to weather or other delays.
Western Area Improvements Phase 3:
Roadway and utility work continues on 43rd Street (south) and 44th Street (north and south) which includes water line tie ends and concrete work. Roads mentioned above will be closed except for local residents and emergency vehicles.
Sidewalks from cul-de-sacs (43rd south and 44th south) are under construction; pedestrians are asked to use other routes into park. Pathway from 43rd north to Ridgeway will be under construction.
20th Street/Fuller Lodge Improvements:
Star Paving will start construction on the 20th Street/Fuller Lodge Improvements Project on Monday, July 20th.
The Contractor will be closing the south bound lane and begin demolition of curb and gutter, asphalt and sidewalks on the west side of the road. Pedestrians will need to use the east side of 20th Street.
The north bound lane will remain open for business access. Motorists may experience flagging operations and minimal delays.
Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00p.m. Services such as mail delivery, emergency services, trash and recycling collection will be maintained.
Golf Course Entrance:
Construction work at the entrance leading to the Los Alamos County Golf Course off of Diamond Drive will commence on July 22, 2015. While the entire entrance will be repaired as a result of this construction activity, only half of the entrance will be affected at any given time allowing for uninterrupted access to the facility. It is anticipated this work will last approximately 2 weeks.
