Manhole Repairs – Ponderosa Estates in Los Alamos:

Beginning Monday, crews will be adjusting manholes in the Ponderosa Estates area. Work will begin on Aspen Drive at Range Road and continue along Aspen Drive, Sumac Lane and Maple Drive before finishing back at Aspen Drive. Since there dozens of manhole adjustments in this subdivision, construction is scheduled to continue through July 31. The concrete being used is a high strength mix and will require a cure time; therefore, residents are urged to avoid driving over these manholes for the first few days after they are poured. Traffic control will be set up daily in several locations along the project route and residents are urged to use caution when driving through and walking near these work zones. Work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday.

Traffic and Streets Division crews continue striping local roadways to replace faded markings for traffic safety. Crews have finished in Los Alamos and moved on to White Rock. Work will continue until main roadways are finished; all work is expected to wrap up mid-July. Work is weather dependent. No traffic delays anticipated that will impede traffic flow; please slow down and use caution when crews are working in these areas.
