Los Alamos County has issued its road work projects update for the week of Aug. 10 on work underway throughout the community.

Note: the below information is based on a schedule provided by the contractors and may change due to weather or other delays.
Western Area Improvements Phase 3:
Sandia closed at 43rd due to utility water line work, which will begin Tuesday, Aug. 11 for 43rd Street (north and south) on the Sandia intersection. Please seek alternate route during this time. Expect flagging operations on 43rd north.
20th Street/Fuller Lodge Improvements:
Star Paving will continue construction on 20th Street and the Fuller Lodge Parking lot Improvement Projects. The Contractor will be closing the south bound lane and begin demolition of curb and gutter, asphalt and sidewalks on the west side of 20th Street. Pedestrians will need to use the east side of the street.
The north bound lane will remain open for business access. Motorists may experience flagging operations and minimal delays.
The secondary Fuller Lodge Parking Lot has been demolished. The contactor will begin installing electrical conduit for lighting and new curb and gutter. This parking lot will remain closed except for Thursday morning during the Farmers Market at which time it will be made accessible for parking.
Work hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Services such as mail delivery, emergency services, trash and recycling collection will be maintained.
Sherwood Blvd. /La Vista Drive:
Traffic control management, demolition of existing concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk, stock piling of the milled roadway, construction staking and utility verification will be ongoing.
Asphalt Resurfacing in White Rock:
Asphalt resurfacing activities continue in White Rock on the following streets: Meadow Lane (Overlook Road to Grand Canyon), Todd Loop, Glenview Drive, Glenview Court, Kris Court, Kimberly Lane (Rover Blvd. south to cul-de-sac), Valle Del Sol, Kendall Drive, Paul Place, Jeffery Place, Page Loop, Page Court, Pruitt Avenue and Hamlin Court. Door hangers will be distributed to residents living on the affected streets at least 48 hours in advance. The anticipated duration for this resurfacing project is three weeks.
