N.M. 4 Improvements Project
Construction continues on the north side. The work zone provides one lane in each direction, with a westbound left turn lane at Rover Boulevard.
Westbound NM4 traffic wishing to turn right onto Pajarito Road will have to obey the traffic signal at the NM4/Grand Canyon/Pajarito Road intersection.
Delays will occur when traffic has to stop for a red light, please allow additional travel time.
Right turns on red are allowed after yielding. When reasonable, White Rock residents are urged to use Grand Canyon as an alternate route to get to Pajarito Road to maximize signal efficiency.
The pedestrian and bicycle detour route will remain in place.
The travel lanes will be narrow, but will be within minimum standards. Please exercise caution as you navigate the revised work zone and remember that the speed limit is 30 mph within the work zone.
