The United Church of Los Alamos celebrated the theme of Community over Labor Day weekend at an All Church Camp.

Focusing on the congregation’s life, individuals participated in constructing a quilt by creating their own squares, enjoyed shared meals and meaningful conversations, hiked nearby historic trails and played.

A highlight was being part of a lively drumming circle under the leadership of West African drummer Akeem Ayannini.

Reaching beyond this community, hygiene kits were prepared for the Dignity mission at the border.

The congregation now looks forward to sharing the regular program year that begins Sunday, Sept. 8 for all ages.
