LAPS News:
The community is invited to tour the newly remodeled Los Alamos High School Music Wing and Topper Freshman Academy at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17 or 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18.
Tours will begin in the High School Lobby.
The music wing is used for high school and community choir, band, orchestra, dance and theater rehearsals. All interior spaces were renovated, including the addition of seven practice rooms and dedicated storage areas for instruments and music.
For the Topper Freshman Academy, classrooms and the office space were upgraded to improve the teaching and learning process. Funding for both projects was approved by voters in the January 2013 bond election.
The students and staff of LAHS thank the community for supporting education in Los Alamos through the last bond election, and encourage all voters to submit their ballots for the current bond election. With approval of the 2017 Bond, the Los Alamos Community will have the opportunity to continue progress in upgrading our aging facilities.
