The American Legion, Frank G. Frainier Post 90, American Legion Riders Chapter 19 and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 90 in Los Alamos are honored to carry out the Wreaths Across America program in Los Alamos County.
This year’s ceremony will be conducted at 10 a.m. Dec. 13, throughout New Mexico, and specifically at Los Alamos’ Guaje Pines Cemetery, which is officially recognized by Wreaths Across America.
The wreaths cost $17 each, are tax-deductible and will be placed on the veterans’ gravesites during the Dec. 13 ceremony at Guaje Pines Cemetery. The current goal is to obtain sponsorships for 435 wreaths. Wreaths may be selected for specific veterans. All extra Wreaths beyond those needed at Guaje Pines will be transported and used at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
The public is invited to be a sponsor of wreaths, 10 wreaths totaling $170, or as seen fit for this ceremony. If interested, visit www.wreathsacrossameria.org/NMLGPC or make a check payable to Wreaths Across America and mail to the local coordinator, which is:

Wreaths Across America is a national program designed to honor fallen veterans of all wars at the national, state and local cemeteries. The mission of Wreaths Across America, “Remember, Honor, Teach” is carried out, in part, by coordinating wreath laying in all states ceremonies, and the 24 national cemeteries on foreign soil.
