The Elks have hosted an annual Thanksgiving lunch for years. Last year, over 300 people enjoyed a communal meal of turkey (roasted and smoked), ham, and all the fixings.

This year may be a difficult time for some folks around town, and the Elks want to extend the reach of information about the free lunch for all in our community.

Details:

• Elks Lodge — 1601 Trinity (between Sonic and Natural Grocers). Enter on the Southeast side entrance (toward Natural Grocers)
• Service starts at 11 a.m. and continues until food is gone. It is recommended to arrive by 2 p.m. to ensure you get all the sides you want.
• There is no charge for meals, although donations are welcome.
• Visitors can take a meal to go if they prefer.
• Visitors are asked to be mindful of limited seating. Once done eating, if there are people waiting, please move to other seating areas in the club or lodge to continue the camaraderie.
