Community Invited To Coffee With A Cop & Athlete

LAPD Press Release:

The community is invited to join the Los Alamos Police Department for its “Coffee with a Cop” event, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, at Starbucks on Central Avenue.

Starbucks and LAPD wish to strengthen the community by having conversations that matter.

Coffee with a Cop is a casual atmosphere where citizens and visitors can have conversations with local police officers and share community concerns and break down any barriers to find mutually beneficial goals for Los Alamos.

The Los Alamos Police Department also will be sharing why they choose to partner with Special Olympics New Mexico. There will be local Special Olympic Athletes at this event.

Law Enforcement has been partnering with Special Olympics since 1981, helping raise money and awareness for the Special Olympics program. The Los Alamos Police Department earned the Bronze award for its work with Special Olympics New Mexico in 2019.
