The 2023 Los Alamos Summer Concerts, presented by Toyota of Santa Fe, rocks on with nationally touring band The Coffis Brothers this Friday, June 2 in celebration of the 2023 Los Alamos ChamberFest.

Jamie and Kellen Coffis were raised in the Santa Cruz Mountains of northern California. Their mother was a children’s musician who often recruited the boys to join her onstage, instilling in them an appreciation for energetic, catchy songs that focused on melody, mood, and message.

“We learned how to sing three-part harmonies with Mom at a young age,” remembers Jamie, who later grew into an accomplished keyboardist as his brother sharpened his chops on guitar. When the two began writing songs together in 2007, they found that their shared upbringing — including the music they’d heard on the radio airwaves as kids — had left a lasting mark on their artistic sensibilities.

The brothers continued working on their own music, too, writing songs that blended the woodsy imagery of their native California with universal stories about love, loss, and the open road. When it came time to record those songs, The Coffis Brothers relied on the skills they’d sharpened during those shows with Bluhm, letting instinct and intuition lead the way. They didn’t want to overthink things. Instead, the goal was simple: turn up, press ‘record,’ and let the songs evolve. IMPORTANT AFTERPARTY CLARIFICATION:

There are many UNAFFILIATED After Party’s like Bathtub Row/SALA purporting that they are the “Exclusive” Los Alamos Summer Concert Series (LASCS) After Parties … including using photos of our concerts and artists, this is not the case and is false advertising. Additionally, after 5 years of building their clientele from nothing to something, the VFW decided to not renew their After Party Sponsorship in 2023, we look forward to working with these entities to help make the concert series more successful in the future but for now don’t believe the hype … BUT WAIT, THERE IS GOOD NEWS!

A business that actually contributes to the success and quality of the FREE 2023 LASCS by sponsoring bands, providing the green room and food and drink tabs for our outstanding artists has stepped up to the plate – THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 90!

THE ONLY OFFICIAL AFTERPARTY OF THE 2023 LOS ALAMOS SUMMER CONCERT SERIES AFTERPARTY WITH A DEEJAY, DRINK SPECIALS AND ARTIST APPEARANCES IS THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 90. And they also have food! Come on out every Friday, follow the crowd, it’s walking distance from the Pond and all the great people from the previous spots have migrated there.

Official Series Partners Include:

  • Official Drink Sponsor: Coca-Cola Bottling Co of Santa Fe;
  • Official Home Furnishings and Mattress Partner: Mattress Mary’s Taos Lifestyle; and
