Staff Report

A small fleet of trucks arrived at the former Hilltop House Hotel today to begin hauling out debris in preparation for a massive renovation project scheduled for the near future.

Atomic City Investments LP recently purchased the vacant building, formerly the hilltop House Hotel, and renamed it the Atomic City Hotel. A spokesman at the hotel today said there was a roof leak so the workers are removing damaged items such as carpeting ahead of the upcoming removation.

The group’s Marketing Director Stacey Glaser told the Los Alamos Daily Post that the new owners, headquartered in Austin, Texas and comprised of people in Sipapu Recreation Management LLC, which is operating Pajarito Mountain Ski Area, hope to have the hotel fully renovated and open for guests by the upcoming ski season.
