Atomic Film Festival Offers More "Food for Thought" with On the Beach Thursday, March 21 at 7pm in Fuller Lodge.
Starring Gregory Peck, Ava Gardner, Fred Astaire, 1959. The war is over. Nobody won. Only the inhabitants of Australia and the men of the US submarine Sawfish have escaped the nuclear destruction and radiation. The Atomic Film Festival, held every other month except in the summer when it is held monthly, is free and open to the public thanks to sponsorship support from Dr. Arthur Montoya, DDS, and Re/MAX Los Alamos.

Los Alamos hosts American Association of Community Theaters on Friday and Saturday
On Friday, March 22, see Lincoln County Community Theater’s production of, "Women and War" by Jack Cunningham and Sandia Performing Arts Company’s "The Last Act is a Solo" by Robert Anderson. On Saturday, March 23, Community Players of Hobbs will present "A Doll's House" by Henrik Ibsen and finalists in AACT’s Monologue Competition will present their monologues. General admission is $12 ($10 for students and seniors) for each night or $20 ($15) for all three nights (Thur, Fri, Sat). Tickets are available at CB Fox or at the door. Performances start at 7 p.m.

Re-Art 10 a.m. to Noon Saturday, March 23 at PEEC (3540 Orange Street) This celebration of art and recycling will include an art supplies swap, an upcycled craft fair, hands-on recycled craft activities, and more. NanoDays 2013 at the Bradbury Science Museum (1350 Central Avenue) March 25 – March 28
NanoDays is a national event, engaging people of all ages in learning about the emerging field of nanoscience. The Bradbury will celebrate NanoDays with interactive demonstrations and activities on the Museum floor on various seemingly magical themes such as a real-life invisibility cloak and metals with memory—all possible with nanoscience. Join in for low-key, spontaneous events where participation and questions are welcomed.

The Reel Deal Theater and PEEC will present two exciting short films that teach sustainability through fly fishing at 7 p.m. Friday, March 29 at the Reel Deal Theater.
For one night only, you can see Jungle Fish and Currents of Belize, which take viewers on eye-opening journeys to South America and Belize. The event is $10 for adults and $5 for children at the door. Reel in a night of fun! Pajarito Brewpub will man a cash bar, serving beer and wine for the patrons of these movies. Reel Life fly shop will come from Santa Fe and Toner Mitchell, President of Trout Unlimited, will introduce the films. The brand new organization, Jemez Fly-Anglers Club, will accept memberships for anyone who would like to share fishing locations, stories, secret fishing holes, and more.
