Come to the June New Mexico PBS Science Café and watch a segment of Nature Ravens and then join in a discussion with Teralene Foxx about the history and perception of ravens and their place in New Mexico’s ecosystem. Local goat breeders (Second Bloom Farm and Gypsy Mountain Ranch) bring mama and baby goats to PEEC. Learn about goat care, goat life, and many uses of dairy goats, including cheese, lotions, soap, and more. Free to PEEC members.  $5 per family for non-members.  Pay at the door–no registration required.

Firecracker 5K Family Fun Run 8 a.m. (check-in at 7 a.m.)  Thursday, July 4 at Family YMCA
The walk/run benefits the YMCA with entry fees for adults at $25; $10 for youth and $15 for YMCA members. T-shirts are included, door prizes will be given away, and prizes will be awarded to the person with the best 4th of July inspired costume. The Family Y is located at 1450 Iris St.

“Mostly Clear and Partly Cloudy: Climate as Metaphor,” exhibit at Mesa Public Library

The exhibit, featuring mixed media work by artists Shaun Gilmore and Janice Wall, explores climate issues through abstraction.
