Tonight, as part of Los Alamos Friday Night, the Society for Creative Anachronism will be on the lawn at Fuller Lodge. Also events at the Bradbury Science Museum, the library's horror flick, a blue show at the Fuller Lodge Art Centerand, of course, Gordon's Concert. Come out for all the fun!

Pajarito Mountain Ski Area:

MOTO X EVENT THIS WEEKEND JULY 7 & 8
Come up and watch some fast and furious race action. This was such a popular event last year we had to have them back. $10 per person for the weekend. Ten and under are free.  Click HERE for more info

SKI AREA CAFE
The cafe is open from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm, Tuesday through Friday. Remember that the lodge is available for rent for weddings, parties, etc. Take advantage of our FREE WIFI for a business lunch.

NEXT BIKE & HIKE –  SAT JULY 14
Lift-served hiking and biking 9-3. The cafe will be up and running for lunch.

FIRST SUMMER BEER & BAND EVENT
Make plans to join us on Sat 7/28 from 2-5pm. Marble Brewery will serve your favorite beers. The Surf Lords will play on the deck. Enjoy lift served biking and hiking from 9 to 3pm. The cafe will be open extended hours to serve your appetite. Can't wait to see you up here.

Joe King Carrasco – Los Alamos Summer Concert Series @ Ashley Pond on Friday
Fabulous Tex-Mex greats since the early 80’s.  Starts at 7 p.m.
Saturday, July 7 – Natural Wonders of Los Alamos: Veronica Springs  Dorothy Hoard leads this hike to a natural spring where water flows out of the ground and the Veronica, a plant which grows in water, is blooming. Round trip distance under 1.5 miles and a fairly level dirt road, with options to extend. Hoard will share the history of the area. Meet at PEEC at 9 a.m., or at the trailhead at the intersection of State Road 4 and Forest Road 181 at 9:30 a.m. Free, no registration required.
Mountain Mixers Square Dance Saturday, July 7
Join the Mountain Mixers for an evening of square dancing. Plus at 7 p.m., Mainstream from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Rounds between mainstream tips. Tonight's caller is Deneice Korzekwa. County Horse Show on Saturday, July 7 @ 9 a.m. @ Brewer Arena
Come and strut your horse at the County Horse Show. This event is for all cowboys and cowgirls to showcase their horse and equestrian talents. Winners receive prizes such as t-shirt, buckles, and ribbons. For more information contact James Feltz at 662-8173.
Rhapsody in Blue @ Fuller Lodge Art Center
Revel in the color, feel and voice of the blues! Explore the many names and associations of blue, from the melancholy to the rhythm of the south to the exaltation of the first bluebird. An exploration of blue in all media.
Enchanted Parks Photographic Exhibit @ Mesa Public Library
A Photographic Tale of Life in Our National Parks by Leslie Bucklin. Exhibit runs until 8/7/12.
Warm Water Weekend at the Aquatic Center
Join in for a fun time in the main pool. Temperatures in the pool will be 84-85 degrees. The inflatable obstacle course is also set up for everyone to enjoy.
 
Friday Night at the Bradbury Science Museum
FIRST Robotics & Astronomy Displays
As our part of Friday Night – Los Alamos, on Friday nights in June and July the Museum will be open until 9 p.m. Each Friday we will feature special programs to delight your entire family.
Cult Classic Horror Movies @ Mesa Public Library on Friday, July 6
Chill out with Mesa Public Library's new Cult Classic Horror Movie Series for ages 18+! Friday nights…library doors reopen at 9 p.m. for the movie only, which starts at 9:30 p.m. Don't be late … doors close for movie goers to come in at 9:45 p.m.! Upstairs Meeting Rooms.

Quarterly Brush and Large Item Collection Coming Soon

Get your brush, furniture, mattresses and large appliances ready for FREE curb-side pick-up! Leaves and pine needles must be bagged. If you live in Los Alamos, plan to have your items curbside no later than 8 a.m. as follows: July 2 (for Mon. or Tues. trash service) or July 9 (for Wed., Thurs. or Friday service). Quarterly pick up for White Rock won't occur until July 16 (Friday trash service) or July 23 (Tuesday service). Questions? Call the Eco Station at 662-8163.

High Mountain Mudfest/Mud Volleyball Tournament

Mud and volleyball? Yep! Have a mud-slinging good time on Saturday, July 21 at the Recreation Division's double elimination mud volleyball tournament. $130/team – adult co-ed competitive, 18 years + and at least four women per team.
