ESPAÑOLA — The City of Española Centennial Celebration Committee has announced its first fundraising event to support the city’s upcoming centennial anniversary celebrations. A pancake breakfast fundraiser will be held 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29 at the Beatrice V. Q. Martinez City Senior Center.
Tickets for the breakfast are $10 per person, with free admission for children 6 and under. The event will feature delicious pancakes, a silent auction with a variety of items up for bid, and a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together in support of a shared cause.
All proceeds from the breakfast and auction will be dedicated to funding a series of events planned for 2025 to commemorate the City of Española’s 100th anniversary.
The centennial festivities will include local entertainment, featuring talented local artists, traditional dances, and a wide range of other activities that showcase the rich culture and history of Española.
This benefit breakfast is the first of many fundraising events planned by the Centennial Celebration Committee to ensure that the city’s 100th anniversary is celebrated in grand style.
“We invite everyone in the community to join us for this special fundraising event,” City Arts & Cultural Specialist Nanette Valerio said. “It’s an excellent opportunity for residents to support our efforts to celebrate this important milestone in our city’s history and to ensure the centennial celebration is a memorable one for all.”
Tickets for the fundraiser can be purchased in advance at City Hall with the Municipal Clerk’s Office or at the door on the day of the event. The Centennial Celebration Committee encourages all community members to come out, enjoy a hearty breakfast, and support the City’s efforts to celebrate this historic occasion.
