There is quite a turnout at this evening’s capital projects public meeting focusing on Parks & Recreation projects. Councilors and members of the Parks & Recreation Board are listening to public feedback underway in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building.
Ten residents have spoken this evening with more signed up to speak before the meeting ends. Topics so far have included public pools, splash pads, volleyball courts, tennis courts, indoor ice rink and golf course improvements.
Two public meetings remain in February – residents in White Rock can weigh in with their comments on capital projects at noon Friday, Feb. 19 in White Rock Fire Station 3. On the following Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 6 p.m., the topic will be focused on capital projects related to Economic Development and Infrastructure – that meeting will be in Council Chambers.
