• • • • • Earning five stars places CHRISTUS St. Vincent among the top-performing hospitals in the nation.

SANTA FE — CHRISTUS St. Vincent has been awarded the highest possible 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), making it the only hospital in New Mexico to earn the national distinction.

The 5-star rating recognizes hospitals that achieve exceptional performance in patient outcomes, safety, patient experience and overall quality of care.

“This 5-star rating is a testament to the dedication, skill and compassion of our entire workforce,” CHRISTUS St. Vincent President/CEO Lillian Montoya said. “From our nurses and physicians to our support staff and volunteers, every member of our organization contributes to our mission of delivering compassionate, patient-centered care every day.”

CMS ratings are based on a comprehensive evaluation of measures, including patient safety, readmission rates, mortality rates and patient experience scores.
