TOTH News:

Q: Where do you find a group of sheep rapping about taxes, a hyperactive angel choir director, a grumpy centurion, the Prophet Isaiah and lots of Christmas songs?
A. In “The Light of God,” this year’s Trinity on the Hill Christmas Musical.

The musical, based on the Gospels of Luke and Matthew, follows the residents of Nazareth, including Mary and Joseph, an angel choir, and a group of shepherds, as they prepare for the coming of the Savior. Though the (rather scary!) Prophet Isaiah drops in to offer guidance, the eventual birth in a humble stable takes them all by surprise.

The musical is performed by 16 members of the TOTH Youth Choir and Sunday School. It is directed by Louisa Singleton and accompanied by John Singleton, and forms part of the 5 p.m. service of Family Communion with Carols by Candlelight on Christmas Eve.

Trinity on the Hill would like to extend a warm welcome to the Los Alamos community to this and other Christmas services. Later on Christmas Eve, a service of lessons and carols will be held, beginning at 7:50 p.m. with carol singing for choir and congregation. The service of Choral Eucharist for Christmas Eve begins at 8 p.m. The Chancel Choir will be directed by Joe Cox, with Valerie Silks providing organ accompaniment.

In between the 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. services, the community is invited to view the Living Creche, on display in the lower parking lot (north side) of Trinity on the Hill.

On Christmas Day, a service of Choral Eucharist is held at 10 a.m. All are welcome to any of these services and childcare is provided. For more details, call the church office at 505.662.5107. Trinity on the Hill is at 3900 Trinity Dr.ive, at the intersection of Canyon, Diamond, and Trinity.
