Can you imagine the look on a child’s face as they emerge from shopping at the Children’s Christmas Bazaar? Their anticipation and excitement of giving their gifts is extraordinary!
Join us 9 a.m. to noon next Saturday, Dec. 5 at Trinity on the Hill Church. This event is for children in kindergarten to 6th grade. They start in Sherrill Hall where they prepare their list of people to shop for, complete their gift tags and get a shopping bag.
Parents and younger children are banished to the old parish hall where they enjoy coffee and treats. And in Kelly Hall children shop for gifts and about many elves wrap their gifts!
Adults are reminded that it may take children time to choose those special gifts and have their purchases wrapped. Parents often ask “How much money should I give my child?” Gifts are reasonably priced from 50 cents to $7. Depending on your child’s taste and number of gifts they need to purchase $20 is usually plenty of money.
Proceeds from this year’s bazaar go to support Episcopal Relief and Development Gifts for Life Program to purchase animals and TOTH’s youth choir scholarships to attend Wilkes-Barre choir camp next summer.
Donations are still being collected and may be dropped in the collection box inside the door from the upper parking lot until Wednesday, Dec. 2. Suggested items are gently used or like new stuffed animals, gifts for dads, Christmas ornaments, toys, etc.
