Children Remain Inside White Rock’s Chamisa and Pinon Schools While Police Hunt Bank Robber

LAPS News:

Both Chamisa Elementary School and Pinon Elementary School in White Rock will keep students in school until parents/guardians pick them up this afternoon.

“In cooperation with local police, we are following this procedure as a safety precaution as they continue their investigation of a bank robbery suspect (s) potentially in the area,” from a statement released by Los Alamos Public Schools.

LAPS said that police patrols have been beefed up in the area around the schools and there will be an increased police presence at the schools while parents pick up their children.
