This chart shows the overall COVID-19 risk by county throughout New Mexico. The nonprofit organization Covid Act Now monitors daily diagnoses, testing positivity, infection rates, ICU headroom and contacts traced in each state. Covid Act Now designates overall COVID-19 risk using these five metrics. The overall risk designation differs from designations made by state of New Mexico in two respects: (i) New Mexico Department of Health factors in only daily diagnoses and test positivity rates, (ii) NMDOH low risk designation requires less than 8 average daily diagnoses per 100,000 people, whereas Covid Act Now has a much lower threshold threshold of 1 per 100,000.
