Change in Genealogical Society Program

LAGA News:

The Genealogical Society has had a change in program: Eowyn Langholf’s talk “A Quickie on the Wiki, It’s not that Tricky” has been postponed until (probably) February.

This Thursday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m, at the Mesa Public Library in Los Alamos – Lowell Christensen will speak on “The History of the San Luis Valley, or Why is there a Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Shop in Taos?”

There are a lot of connections between the history of the San Luis Valley (in Southern Colorado) and history of Northern New Mexico. I have heard the talk before and it is really interesting and very funny! It also illustrates many aspects of genealogical research.

The traditional no host dinner will be 5:30 p.m., Thursday at China Moon in Mari Mac Plaza before the meeting at 7 p.m. at the library. All are invited.
