The Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce is facilitating two workshops Thursday, Nov. 7 at UNM-Los Alamos in the Lecture Hall in the Student Center, Bldg. 2.
From 8-9:30 a.m., there will be a presentation about the Affordable Care Act and its options and requirements for employers, Health Insurance Exchange and the SHOP program for employers. The presenter is Steve Morgan, who has extensive experience in the insurance industry.
This is a Business Breakfast, and is open to all employers, whether they are Chamber members or not, free of charge. From 10:30 a.m. to noon, the Los Alamos Laboratory’s Tech Transfer Group will hold a workshop titled “Los Alamos National Laboratory’sExpress Licensing Program: Faster, Easier, and More Valuable.” Learn how this new accelerated, streamlined process for non-exclusive licensing of Los Alamos patents and software may benefit your company.
The LANL team will also provide an overview of specific technologies and software that are currently available through the Express Licensing Program, as well as other regional programs available for business development through the Laboratory.
The goal of the Express Licensing Program is to make it faster, easier and more valuable for entrepreneurs, research institutions, and corporations to access LANL technologies.
