Los Alamos businesses were honored by the Chamber of Commerce Friday at the Summer Concert Series, sponsored by Los Alamos National Laboratory – Community Partnerships Office.
Chamber members were nominated by the public and the top five nominated businesses in each category moved on to the voting phase.
There were hundreds of votes cast by the public.
The nominees and winners in each category are:
- 2022 Retail Business of the Year Award Winner: Los Alamos Cooperative Market
- Nominees: Cricket Window, Flowers by Gillian, Fuller Lodge Art Center, Village Arts
- 2022 Service Business of the Year Award Winner: Dragonfly Daycare
- Nominees: Dragonfly Daycare, Los Alamos Family Eyecare, Los Alamos Landscaping, Victor’s Lawns LLC, Windgate Healing Arts
- 2022 Family-Friendly Business of the Year Award Winner: Los Alamos Nature Center/PEEC
- Nominees: Bathtub Row Brewery, Family YMCA, Los Alamos Children’s Dentistry, Los Alamos Nature Center/PEEC, Pet Pangaea
- 2022 New Business of the Year Award Winner: Muy Salsas
- Nominees: L.A. Bootery, Little Studio on the Mesa, Muy Salsas, Samizdat Bookstore, Yas’ Elevated Jewelry & Gift
- 2022 Woman-Owned Business of the Year Award Winner: Pig & Fig Café
- Nominees: Los Alamos Daily Post, Petree Garden Center, Pet Pangaea, Pig & Fig Café, Windgate Healing Arts
- 2022 Non-Profit of the Year Award Winner: Dance Arts Los Alamos
- Nominees: Dance Arts Los Alamos, Family Strengths Network, Los Alamos Community Foundation, Los Alamos Family Council, Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation
- 2022 Financial Institution Business of the Year Award Winner: Del Norte Credit Union
