Visitors are invited to say “See you soon” to the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science while looking ahead to the future with free shows, educational activities, and much more during the museum’s free Closing Celebration event on Sunday, Aug. 3.
With the museum slated to temporarily close for renovations starting on August 4, the museum team and the New Mexico Museum of Natural History Foundation are planning a celebration of the museum on August 3 so that visitors can say goodbye to the familiar façade before the museum undergoes its first major renovation in decades.
Enjoy all-ages activities including face-painting. balloon animals, and much more! Catch a free show in the Verus Research DynaTheater or the Planetarium, Powered by Meta. Get your picture taken with our roaring Bisti Beast, Bonita, on the museum’s 2nd floor.
With the generous support of the museum’s Board of Trustees, this event will be free for visitors to attend! The museum is free to attend from 9 a.m.–5 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 3. Activities begin at 10 a.m.
It’s an opportunity to enjoy family-friendly activities that celebrate the museum’s history as we look ahead to the future!
