YMCA News:

Get ready to ignite the Fourth of July with The Family YMCA’s annual Firecracker 5K Family Fun Run and the beloved FREE Children’s Parade! It’s a morning packed with community spirit, fitness, and festive fun for all ages.

Firecracker 5K Family Fun Run

Date: Friday, July 4, 2025
Check-In: 7:15–7:45 a.m. at The Family YMCA, 1450 Iris St.
Race Start: 8 a.m. sharp

Open to runners, joggers, walkers, strollers, and even leashed dogs, this 5K is a celebration of movement and community. Every participant receives a commemorative t-shirt, and prizes will be awarded in multiple categories, including:

Youth (13 & under, 14–17)
Adults (18–39, 40–59, 60+)
Best Stroller (with child)
Best Dog Jogger
Best Costume

FREE 4th of July Children’s Parade

Immediately following the race, join us for a patriotic procession that’s fun for the whole family!

Flag Ceremony: 10 a.m. at The Family YMCA flagpole, led by the American Legion
Parade Route: From Iris Street to Fuller Lodge Lawn via Central Avenue
Decorations: Patriotic-themed decorations for bikes, wagons, strollers, and pets provided by The Family YMCA
Fun & Activities: Join us after the parade for even more fun

Show off your red, white, and blue, and let your festive spirit shine!

Pancake Breakfast at Fuller Lodge

After the parade, enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast on the Fuller Lodge lawn:

Kids (12 & under): FREE
Adults: $5 per person

Hosted by the Kiwanis Club, it’s the perfect way to refuel and continue the celebration with friends and neighbors.
