As part of #GivingTuesday, CB FOX showed its support for local nonprofit organizations. The department store donated $500 to the American Legion Riders Post 90’s Wounded Warriors Project and $814 to the United Way of Northern New Mexico.
Manager Andy Fox told the Los Alamos Daily Post that he is happy to support these nonprofit organizations.
“UWNNM received proceeds from sales during Small Business Saturday, which was held Nov. 24. Plus, the store donated $100 from mattress sales of $1,000 or more to the American Legion,” Fox said. “The community really came out for Small Business Saturday. It is support like this that allows us to give back to neat organizations like United Way of Northern New Mexico.”
United Way of Northern New Mexico Executive Director Mary Beth Maassen expressed her appreciation for the generosity exhibited by CB FOX.
“United Way of Northern New Mexico is thrilled and delighted to be a community partner with Andy and CB FOX. It is a relationship that benefits everyone involved,” Maassen said.
American Legion Riders Post 90 Commander Linda Fox thanked CB FOX saying, “anything that helps Operation Wounded Warrior is a wonderful thing.”
Andy Fox said that this is another example of the way Los Alamos citizens rally around great causes like the Wounded Warriors Project.
“Thank you to those who allowed us to make this donation,” he said. “We look forward to doing this again next year.”
