CB FOX will begin phasing in paper shopping bags of all sizes. Phased out will be every size of plastic bag.
Andy Fox said the decision to switch to paper has been stimulated by the announcement that the United Nations will meet next Monday, to, in the words of United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres,“…boost ambition and accelerate actions to implement the Paris Agreement on Climate Change”.
Dave Fox said he remembers too well the line in the movie, “The Graduate” when, with feckless bravado, the husband of the famous Mrs. Robinoson admonishes his son-in-law to be, that to make a fortune he must chose a career in “plastics”!
CB FOX will phase paper bags in as fast as it can, considering all of the several sizes and quantities of its shopping bags, he said.
What CB FOX staff hope for in the long run is the earliest possible mass availability of bags made of materials that endangers neither carbon sequestration nor sea life.
The first supply of paper bags is expected to arrive in time for the holidays.
