Carnaval 2015: Port To Port

NHCC News:

Frank Leto and PANdemonium with the Odara Dance Ensemble, in partnership with the National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC), continue the Center’s annual celebration of Carnaval with “Carnaval 2015: Port to Port” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 13-14 in the NHCC’s Albuquerque Journal Theatre.

If you’ve ever wished you could hop on a cruise to the hottest Carnaval locations in the world, now is your chance. “Port to Port” transforms the theatre into a Carnaval cruise liner, and you are invited to join the party, from the port of New Orleans to Cuba, to Trinidad, and your final destination—Rio de Janeiro. A mysterious captain, an unforgettable activities director, authentic destination tour guides, and dazzling music and dance performances will keep you on the edge of your seat from port to port, as this festive and colorful evening of music, dance, and theatre unfolds.

Tickets are $17, $22 and $27, with a $2 discount for students, seniors, and NHCC members, and are available from the Center’s Box Office, at 505.724.4771 or www.nhccnm.org.

The National Hispanic Cultural Center is dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and advancement of Hispanic culture, arts and humanities, and is a division of the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs.
