Canceled: Annual July 4th Extravaganza Due To COVID-19

COUNTY News:

The annual 4th of July Celebration at Overlook Park will not take place this year due to crowd considerations in regard to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The cancellation includes both the daytime festivities and the evening fireworks show.

The annual event is organized and run by the Los Alamos Kiwanis Club under contract with Los Alamos County.

“The Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos will miss seeing all of the smiling faces and sharing in the family fun this 4th of July,” said Kiwanis 4th of July Event Chair Stephen Boerigter. “We trust you are all staying safe and that you will still take the time on July 4th to really celebrate the special place that is the United States of America. Till we meet again – and watch the night sky light up with colors.”
