Calvary Chapel News:

Calvary Chapel Of Los Alamos introduces its new Children’s Minister Christeen Wilson.

Wilson is a 2019 graduate of New Mexico State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Part of her educational experience included working at Myrna’s Children’s Village on the NMSU campus.

“I grew up in South Carolina, so I am very much a country girl,” Wilson said. (The lilt in her voice confirms this.)

Having had good experiences with the children’s ministries that she grew up with, Wilson adds, “I always dreamed of working with kids and sharing the Lord with them.”

Wilson’s previous experience with children’s ministry began as a teenager and has just been a natural part of her life wherever she has been.

“I want children to see that God has a plan for them and even though sad things happen we can still live joyfully for Jesus,” she said.

Wilson was born with Cerebral Palsy and said that it is actually an opportunity to show everyone how God loves and includes everybody. One of her favorite Bible verses is Psalm 139:14 “I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made”.

The Sunday worship service at Calvary starts at 10:30 a.m. with a time of families worshiping together in song after which the children breakaway for targeted teaching and activities geared to their ages led by Wilson.

Calvary Chapel invites families of all ages to join them for Sunday services.

“We do practice all of the safety protocols associated with COVID to insure the safety of our members and community. If you don’t feel you can attend in person, you can find us at calvaryla.com for ways to join us virtually.” –Calvary Chapel
