COMMUNITY News:Sharon Allen of Los Alamos is making a library of books in response to an urgent request from a northern Uganda school that is supporting young children of refugees from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Sudan.
She is responding to the need to collect 1,000 children’s books in new or used condition (pre-K-2nd grade reading level) by Nov. 1 for shipment the following week.
Baby board books are in great demand, she said.
