National Park Service: Tourism To Fort Union National Monument Creates $830,000 In Economic Benefits

WATROUS A new National Park Service (NPS) report shows that 10,860 visitors to Fort Union National Monument in 2018 spent $740,000 in communities near the park.
 
That spending supported 10 jobs in the local area and had a cumulative benefit to the local economy of $830,000.

N3B Forum On Accessing Nonprofit Funding June 12

N3B News:

Northern New Mexico nonprofit agencies will learn how to access funds from Newport News Nuclear BWXT Los Alamos (N3B) at a community forum at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 at Fuller Lodge.

The purpose of the meeting is to present funding guidelines for N3B’s Community Contributions Program and to answer questions about how to submit a request for funding.

A similar meeting will be held in Espanola at a later date.

Ten Los Alamos businesses were honored Friday evening by the Chamber of Commerce at the annual Chamber Awards Reception, sponsored by Del Norte Credit Union on the lawn at Ashley Pond Park.
