The love of research and family history drew Los Alamos local provider Linda Krolop into the field of healthcare. In 2020, she opened Everlast Recovery and Associates (ER and Associates) Home Health Care.

“The very best part of my business is when I can research and do something special for my clients to help them with their health and happiness,” Krolop said. “For example, I requested the doctor who my cancer patient was seeing get the CAR-T cell therapy at UNM because I knew a doctor overseas who has been using CAR-T cell therapy for a long time. He told me it can be a complete cure. Now, three years later, we have the CAR-T cell therapy at UNM, and my patient who had multiple myeloma is cancer free!”

During her first year in business, Krolop went through the qualifying process and was accepted as a provider for the Department of Labor, for programs such as the Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program (DEEOIC).

“As a small, hands-on company, we provide the highest quality home care by giving our clients excellent care provided by skilled and well-trained employees. They really care about our clients and love their work as caregivers,” Krolop said. “We offer affordable rates and flexible hours that meet the needs of each client.”

ER and Associates has developed special programs, including:

  • Healthy Meal Plan;
  • Holistic Care Plan with exercise; and
  • Brain Stimulation Plan.

“We plan to keep adding to these programs as we learn new information,” Krolop said. “We also offer physical therapy through a licensed physical therapist.”

ER and Associates provides personalized in-home care determined by an initial assessment meeting with the client, their doctor, and loved ones. This is followed by caregiver consistency, client care managers, expertise in Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and Cancer Care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, doctor visit support, and personal care assistants. When prescribed by the client’s doctor, ER and Associates also provides LVNs or RNs, and special programs.

Krolop is a third-generation entrepreneur.

“Both of my parents owned their own businesses. My dad was an architect and builder, and my mother had a health-related business, and my grandmother as well,” she said. “I learned a lot from them. Also, my uncle and I were very close from the time I was a small child. He had three doctoral degrees and a Marriage Family and Child Counseling (MFCC) License. He taught me so much about medicine and health from the time I was very young. Everlast Recovery and Associates is my pride and joy because I really get to help people with their illnesses. There is always something new to learn, and I love to research and find the latest information on health issues and longevity, and I love to share my findings.”

Krolop’s educational background includes a degree in business administration, a law degree, and certificates in Intellectual Property Law and International Law, as well as a Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from Cornell University. She also participates in medical research, working with physicians to create supplements, diet products, and a line of products for neuropathy.

“We are proud to be an enrolled provider for the DEEOIC Program, and we love to take care of our patients who have spent their lives working for the labs and keeping us safe,” Krolop said.
