BSMA Seeks Volunteers To Staff Souvenir Kiosk At Bradbury Science Museum

The Bradbury Science Museum Association (BSMA) needs volunteers to help operate Gadgets, the museum’s souvenir kiosk.

The Bradbury Science Museum is open 7-days a week and the BSMA seeks to have the souvenir kiosk open to museum visitors 7-days a week.

  • Time slots to be filled:
  • Sunday, 1-3 p.m. and 3-5 p.m.;
  • Monday, 3-5 p.m.;
  • Tuesday, 2-5 p.m.;
  • Wednesday, 2-5 p.m.;
  • Thursday, 10 a.m.-to noon and 2-5 p.m.;
  • Friday, 10 a.m. to noon, noon-2 p.m., 2-5 p.m.; and
  • Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon, noon-2 p.m., 2-5 p.m.

To volunteer, visit www.bradburyassociation.org and choose the Volunteers tab at the top right. Find the link to the Volunteer Handbook, Volunteer Application and email link to contact the BSMA.

All volunteers need to be at least 18 years of age, able to push, pull and guide at least 60 pounds of rolling weight, be comfortable with bending and some lifting. All applicants will be asked to give the BSMA approval to conduct a background check.

The Bradbury Science Museum Association (BSMA) is the museum’s non-profit partner with the sole mission of raising money to support Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education outreach in Northern New Mexico.

Souvenir sales through the kiosk inside the museum is the BSMA’s main source of STEM education fund-raising. Souvenirs include t-shirts, books, post cards, pens, magnets, lanyards, notebooks, stickers, battery chargers, flash drives, mugs, travel tumblers, draw-string back packs, hats and pencils. Items now in stock have the Bradbury Science Museum logo and items with the LANL logo are on the way!
